If we were to have an official state marine mammal (do states even do that?) then it should be the sea otter, especially since we brought them back from the brink of extinction.

No, the idiots who wanted to make our official state marine mammal are to blame for being so stupid as to think that turtles are mammals when anyone who is smarter than a 1st grader knows that turtles are reptiles.

Yeah. See a few years ago, some idiots wanted to make the sea turtle California's official marine mammal, so when I posted "I spy a marine mammal" I had meant to say reptile, but I was reminded of that stupid thing of making the sea turtle California's official marine mammal, and that's what messed me up.
