Different hanging technique - WedgieEnthusiast1 - 05-06-2025 Hey all! Making this post to see how all others do their hanging and if there are different or better techniques. Currently I have been using a tennis ball with a carabiner around it connected to a bungee cord/rope. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried using resistance bands to get more bounce while hanging? Personally, the bounce in a hanging is what makes it much more exciting. Let me know, thanks RE: Different hanging technique - speedosnap - 05-06-2025 Resistance bands aren't really made to hold weight and bounce, I've had a few snap with just basic dangling because they get brittle with age and stretch out when put under more tension than they are made for. Bungee cords are basically the same thing but are easier to find for higher loads. Pup Sprout over on Bluesky has been using extension/tension springs to get that amazing bounce in his videos. Springs are made to return force placed on them, hence why they will bounce. Sprout will use two springs in two point suspension that seems really stable. I haven't tried it out myself yet because the cost of springs made strong enough for my standards are pretty pricey, but they are something I'm hoping to play with soon. Hope this helps. RE: Different hanging technique - WedgieEnthusiast1 - 05-07-2025 Makes sense. Figure I’ll still give it a try with medium/high resistance new bands and see how they work for my weight (135 lean). Hoping someone else comments a different way and I’ll try it haha RE: Different hanging technique - kinexp93 - 05-08-2025 Lately I've taken to recycling my torn off waistbands (as I have many) and using them as bungees. I think the elastic works pretty well to keep some pressure on the wedgie, as long as its still stretchy and not worn out. My setup is basically a waistband thrown around a sturdy bar in the closet with the other part of the waistband wrapped around a tennis ball or something in my undies. Stand on a chair and jump or just dangle by tiptoe. Pretty simple, no need to really tie anything, and definitely gives a firm wedgie. Would love to know others' results if anyone tries this! RE: Different hanging technique - WedgieEnthusiast1 - 05-09-2025 that is a great idea, I think I will give that a try after I rip a few more pairs lol Seems like that would work very well and isn't money just thrown away |
